Butterflies, Bees and all Growing Beings

Gardening in the desert of North Africa was an adventure and a challenge. I always saw the garden as an image of my inner space—flourishing if it got enough water. I also learned that if you have a generous supply of water, butterflies and bees and dragonflies will find you. I love that the word generous is such a lovely description of God’s love for me. If you don’t share my faith in God, I try to write in such a way that you don’t feel excluded—God and spiritual well being are important to me, in my walk of faith. They might be just as important to you in a completely different way and I want to hear your views on this! (I know not everything I believe to be true is going to turn out to be “right”….isn’t that part of growth?)
