More about Roses...

My mom loved roses, so much so that she tried (unsuccessfully) to grow them in our cement yard (patio) in Bolivia. When I moved to North Africa I saw roses growing in the Sahara sand. I thought I would not be able to keep them alive, but it wasn’t hard once I understood that they love slowly dripping water that doesn’t get their roots soggy. Growing things is often about understanding the conditions that are right for that plant!
